Warfarmer privacy
Last updated 2026-10-21
In short
- No Warfarmer servers. Your inventory, history and settings stay on your PC.
- Game data comes through Overwolf's game events. Warfarmer itself never reads the game's memory, never changes the game or its files, and never sends anything to the game.
- Chat messages your game shows you are kept only while Warfarmer is open, never saved to a file and never sent anywhere.
- Nothing changes on warframe.market unless you choose it: listings only on your click; after a trade, marking the listing sold runs a 10-second countdown you can undo (or turn off in Settings); your status follows the game only if you turn on Auto status.
What Warfarmer reads on this PC
- From Overwolf's game events (Overwolf provides them; Warfarmer only receives what Overwolf passes on): your inventory; the trade chat and whispers your game shows you, for the Trade chat tab and to match buyers' whispers to your listings (trade posts are kept for a few hours while Warfarmer is open); and the item under your pointer in game, to show its price beside it.
- Warframe's own log file (EE.log), read but never changed, and while an overlay or the whisper assistant's screen reading is on, the same lines live as the game writes them (its debug output, through Windows' standard debug-output channel): your trades, the relics you open and the screens the overlays react to.
- The game's screen, with Windows' own text recognition, only while the game is in front: the fissure reward and relic selection screens and a riven's card (when those overlays are on), and the game window when a whisper chat opens (the whisper assistant; on unless you turn its screen reading off) or when you press Ctrl+Alt+W. The picture is deleted once it is read.
- While the whisper assistant is on and Warframe runs, Warfarmer registers Ctrl+Alt+W with Windows: it receives that key press (the game doesn't), and nothing is ever sent to the game.
Warfarmer never reads the game's memory and never changes the game or its files.
What stays on this PC
In Warfarmer's folder (%APPDATA%\@warfarmer\app): the last inventory the game sent, your history and trade ledger, your settings, cached prices and pictures, and overlay.log (the last few hundred things the overlays did, for bug reports).
Your warframe.market sign-in and your Discord webhook, if you set one, are kept encrypted by Windows for your Windows account. Warfarmer never sees your warframe.market password: you sign in on warframe.market's own page.
Who Warfarmer talks to
Warfarmer talks only to the services it needs. Each request says it comes from Warfarmer and its version; your inventory is never sent anywhere (prices are asked item by item).
- Overwolf: The game data: the live inventory, the chat your game shows you and the item under your pointer come through Overwolf's game events. In the installed app, also the check for a new version of Warfarmer. (its privacy policy)
- warframe.market: Its public data: items, prices, the order book, players' public profiles. When you're signed in, your listings, your status and your messages count, with your session. You sign in on its own page, in a window of its own, which can take you on to Steam, Microsoft (Xbox) or Discord if you sign in with one of them.
- Digital Extremes (DE): Warframe's public world state and its public item data (the Public Export).
- warframestat.us: A fallback for the world state, and the item pictures (WFCD's image set).
- The Warframe wiki: Finding an item's page when you open it on the wiki.
- riven.market: Riven listings, when you search rivens.
- Steam: Warframe's news, for the price calendar; and Steam's sign-in page, if you sign in to warframe.market with Steam.
- Microsoft (Xbox): Only its sign-in page, if you sign in to warframe.market with it.
- Discord: Your own webhook, if you set one up for notifications (the notification's text); and Discord's sign-in page, if you sign in to warframe.market with Discord.
Bug reports
Help › Report a bug sends nothing by itself. It shows you everything it would attach (the version, Windows' version, your settings without anything personal, the last lines of overlay.log), lets you leave any of it out, and copies the report for you to paste. Your inventory, your warframe.market session, chat and other players' names are never in it.

Removing your data
Sign out (the account menu, top right) to remove your warframe.market session from this PC. Uninstalling keeps your folder so a reinstall finds your history; delete %APPDATA%\@warfarmer\app to remove everything.
